This feature provides an auxiliary siren ON / OFF switch for the Siren option.

Since VIP (Vehicular Interface Port) Inputs are active-low, the auxiliary switch must ground the selected VIP Input to activate the Siren, and idle high to deactivate the Siren. The VIP Input state change (active or inactive) causes the transceiver to send an SB9600 bus message to the Siren / PA unit to change the Siren state (On or Off). |
